🔧 Devnet / Stagenet / Mainnet in Relictum: what is each network for?
Blockchains differ in many aspects, but almost all of them use auxiliary networks along with the main network (Mainnet). Each of them has its own purpose and exists independently of other networks.
🏗 Devnet is a development network that operates independently of the main blockchain. The Relictum specialists can use it to create and test their solutions and improvements. Even if something goes wrong, the problem will remain within Devnet without affecting ordinary users.
🧯 Stagenet, aka Testnet, is Relictum’s innovation testing network. Just like Devnet, it exists independently of and along with Mainnet. As a rule, almost ready-made solutions get into Testnet. They undergo final debugging and verification here before being released to the main network.
Stagenet operates as an exact copy of the main blockchain. It runs on the same software and technology as Mainnet. However, all actions and transactions in it are a simulation. This is why the detected errors do not disrupt the operation of the main network.
🌐 Mainnet is the main and fully real Relictum blockchain network. All transactions in it hold meaning and are recorded in the blockchain. The Mainnet is always active and open for a wide audience of ordinary users. That is why all innovations are introduced into it only after multiple iterations of testing and verification.
