Storing data in Relictum Storage is secure, because each file is fragmented and distributed among separate storages using the Information Dispersal Algorithms (IDA), which provides each storage owner local access only to the encoded fragment of the information unit (file). This fundamentally prevents this owner from restoring even part of the information.

⛓ Relictum Storage shows a high level of reliability, because the storage system is decentralized and geographically distributed. This significantly reduces the risk of failure or even physical destruction (in case of emergency, such as fire, etc.) of the entire system. This minimizes the risk of irreversible data loss. As part of the IDA, the data are encoded in a redundant manner, splitting into fragments, which are distributed (via secure Internet connections) to various geographically distributed storage nodes. The data in such a system can be recovered even after being destroyed in some storage points.
